What is PriviFilm?
PriviFilm is a switchable privacy-film route for suitable glazing. A project combines the film, electrical components, controls, edge detailing and installation method specified for the selected system.
Is smart film the same as switchable smart glass?
No. Retrofit smart film is applied to suitable existing glass, while switchable smart glass is manufactured as a glazing unit. Suitability, appearance, edges, wiring and warranty routes differ.
What happens when the power is off?
Many PDLC privacy products are opaque or translucent without power and become clearer when energised, but the exact state, clarity and control behaviour must be confirmed for the selected product and project.
Does PriviFilm work on every pane of glass?
No universal claim is made. Glass type, coatings, surface condition, seals, edge access, dimensions, environment and electrical design are assessed before suitability is confirmed.
Who installs and connects the system?
The written project scope identifies the product supplier, responsible film installer and competent electrical party. A website enquiry does not itself promise installation coverage.
